A fundraising Poetic Symposium was organized by UET Literary Society to help the flood victims. Well-known poets from all over the country including Abbas Tabish, Farhat Abbas Shah, Ali Zaryoun, Rehman Faris, Tehzeeb Hafi, Hamida Shaheen, Fariha Naqvi and Nilufar Afzal participated in the poetic symposium. Two hundred and seventy thousand rupees were collected during the fund raising. The title of the event was "Hum Nibhaen ge k Hum Log Zuban Wale Hain". Large number of students participated in the event held in the New Auditorium Complex. Director Students Affairs Prof. Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser, Senior Warden Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq and Registrar Muhammad Asif were also present on this occasion.
